Juul, a pupil at my brother's primary school St. Jorisschool, made an entry in my guestbook on December 1st 2006. It read:
"Our teacher is continuously bragging about your bike. Will you take the bike to teacher Godfried's school one day? And the teacher is right: the bike is cool."

So that's what I did on April 26th 2007: me and my sister Cécile took our bikes and visited our brother's school in Lichtenvoorde, the town we were raised.

I prepared a presentation about the ins and outs on building the CBX and showed it on Godfried's hightech smartboard.

Even gave them a sneak preview and very recent top-secret pictures of the new V8-bike. Of course only the children were allowed to see them; my brother and sister had to leave the room temporary which was very amusing for the kids. They obeyed, protesting of course.

After the demo some kids asked me to sign prints.
Then we went outside and I demonstrated the bike.

They found the camera system very intriguing.

The idea that you could even play DVD's on it even more!
The guys asked me to make a trip and rev up the engine a bit. Well, that's not a problem, although the road was very bumpy.

Then the inevitable photoshoot, which was fun.

Finally the three of us posed on our bikes: Cécile on her 130 bhp Suzuki TL1000, me on my 115 bhp CBX, admiring Godfried's 0 Bhp ("but very light!") Trek bicycle.

Godfried asked one pupil to write a report on my visit; Céline Meekes complied. Apparently me sending Godfried and Cecile out of the room had a great impact on the kids, as had the photoshoot.
Click the picture to read her report (in Dutch language).

Juul, the pupil causing this trip, again wrote an entry in the guestbook inviting me to visit the school when the V8 bike is ready; how can I refuse? ;-)
